One of the best jobs I ever had was in the VERT (Voice Evaluation and Research Team) group at AGCS from mid-2001 through mid-2003.
VERT's charter was to ensure a high level of voice quality on the iMerge voice over packet solution from end to end.
We had all sorts of toys, er, tools at our disposal in order to do our job.
These included two sound rooms - Cone Of Silence A (COSA) and Cone Of Silence B (COSB), digital recording and analysis tools, amplifiers, speakers, EQ's and our very own dummy we named Valerie.
