I took an ex-girlfriend out in the desert somewherez one day.

Once we were out in the middle of nowhere, my Check Engine light came on.

Not good.

Seein' as how I had just given the Jeep dealer $3300 less than 3 weeks prior to fix a bunch of stuff I wasn't too thrilled about this.

I did some investigating the next day and was able to fix the problem.

After a lot of research I went to Auto Zone and they plugged in their OBDII tool into the connector under my dash and told me I had problem P0121. My Jeep service manual sez that has something to do with the Throttle Position Sensor.

One thing the dealer did three weeks prior was replace my exhaust manifold. This also entailed removing the the intake manifold and a bunch of other stuff (including the throttle cable). Turns out that when they did this, they broke a little plastic 'ear' that held the throttle cable in place. The allowed the cable to move and the Throttle Position Sensor got upset and lit the light.

So, I wired up the cable so that it can't move out of position and the Check Engine Light turned off.

In case you are wondering, I convinced the Jeep dealer to replace the throttle cable for free....
