Canine Studio Audio Restoration

Canine Studio is no longer in business.

Arrangements:

Because each restoration situation is unique it is important that a potential customer open a dialog with us to discuss the specifics of a particular order in detail. This will allow us to answer any questions that you may have. This is especially important when it comes to expectations and pricing.

Note: Please review the Disclaimers section of the Details page.

Before shipping any material to Canine Studio, please contact us.

Pricing:

Audio restoration is a time consuming activity if done properly. Our prices reflect the intensive attention to detail performed during the restoration process and the time required to perform the work.

The quoted price may vary depending on several factors. These factors include but are not limited to:

  • The customers expectation

  • The condition of the source material

  • The amount of minutes to be restored (tapes only)

Note:

If you do not know the condition of the source material or the amount of minutes that you are asking to be restored, make an educated guess and submit the appropriate funds. After we transfer the material to the computer we will have an accurate account of the condition of the source material or the quantity of minutes to be restored. If there is a discrepancy between your estimate and our determination we will contact you to resolve the discrepancy.

The prices shown below should be considered only as a guideline. Accurate price quotes can only be obtained after a dialog is conducted between Canine Studio and the customer.

45 RPM Restoration $20
78 RPM Restoration $30
33 1/3 RPM LP Restoration * $40
Audio Tape Restoration $0.50 per minute of restored audio

Note: This minimum base rate is typically for recordings that require a standard restoration effort. In situations where the condition of the source material warrants a more intensive restoration effort the cost may be adjusted accordingly.

* An LP is a single disc. Some albums have more than one LP disc. The quote is on a per LP basis.

** Additional copies are available only to customers who own the rights to the source material. This price reflects our labor only. There is no charge for the actual CDR.
